This stallion is ready to push through and fight for what belongs to him. His posture speaks loud and clear that he will not back down. He believes he has the power to win a victory, so he presses forward with determination and confidence to meet his opponent. The other stallion did indeed back down. No fighting was necessary. Courage is powerful enough to cause the enemy to believe he cannot win; and he will back down. (See Philippians 1:28)
How do you respond to your enemy? What is your biggest challenge?
Do you recognize its power and back down or do you find your courage by trusting in God and roar back?
Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Be firm in your faith and resist him, because you know that other believers in all the world are going through the same kind of sufferings. 1Peter 5:8-9
If you choose to live what you believe, you will need to be full of courage and stand on the immovable rock, who is Jesus, the Christ. You will need to learn how to pray until you receive everything you need so you can use it to win your victory.
Learn to lean into Jesus until you can feel His heartbeat and His closeness gives you strength.
We all like to have options. But courage is not an option or just for a few, but its for all who believe because it is found in trusting in the Lord.
For our love for God means that we obey his commands. And his commands are not too hard for us, because every child of God is able to defeat the world. And we win the victory over the world by means of our faith. 1John 5:3-4
Courage is not a rare attribute, but it’s for all of God’s people when they take it in faith and run with it.
It is about pushing back fear and believing that Jesus will strengthen and defend you. Roar back! He will see you through to the other side of courage, which is victory.
Moral courage is about believing in your convictions to the point of walking out your beliefs regardless of the opposition; regardless of the temptation to cave into fear or temptation. It is about standing on the rock who is Christ. Even when the storm rages Jesus will be your immovable and strong rock. Believe in faith to stand on your convictions, faith in your heavenly Father.
the God who brings the dead to life and whose command brings into being what did not exist. Romans 4:17b.
God’s people need to learn to respond to challenges with courage. It will give them a real sense of value and worth that cannot be stolen. It doesn’t take a special person to be courageous, it takes a faithful person who is willing to follow the lead of Holy Spirit to honor their God, their heavenly Father.
Who will follow Holy Spirit courageously even to the death of self?
It is that person who will be honored by God.
