Power Release

Jesus healed everyone who came to Him for healing. A woman touched the edge of his garment in a crowd. She knew she was healed. Jesus felt the power in Him released by her faith.
I painted most of this picture at Burney Falls, CA after first dipping my canvas in the water. The water cascades freely at the falls without restraint. The power of this waterfall may be harnessed with a dam or a windmill in order to capture the energy in the water to do work. Power is available, but only usable when we harness the energy.
God’s power to heal is available to those who believe. Faith in Jesus and His work accomplished at the cross is the key to access the power for healing of disease. Faith is like a dam or a windmill that we can use to access the healing that is available to those who believe.

But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received. Isaiah 53:5. This verse is a prophecy that predicted that a Messiah would come and take away our sins and sickness. Jesus is the fulfillment of this prophecy.
When evening came people brought to Jesus many who had demons in them. Jesus drove out the evil spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. He did this to make come true what the prophet Isaiah had said, “He himself took our sickness and carried away our diseases.” Matthew 8:16-17.
Christ himself carried our sins in his body to the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. It is by his wounds that you have been healed. 1Peter 2:24.
A woman who had suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If only I touch his cloak, I will get well.” Jesus turned around and saw her and said, “Courage, my daughter! Your faith has made you well.” At that very moment the woman became well. Matthew 9:20-22.
Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God…When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.” Mark 11:22-24.
Believe.
